Stay Positive During COVID-19
We can't control the pandemic but we can control how we react. It is vital that we stay positive and focused on our long terms goals. Very few things in life go exactly as planned. It is important that we stay flexible, not only with our physical range of motion but with our daily expectations. No-one was prepared to have our pools closed, practices canceled and games postponed. Those are just some of the effects COVID-19 is having on our water polo community. On a larger scale, schools are closing and quarantines are being issued. What can we do during these uncertain times?
One thing at a time!
Think about all the other things you have time for! Just because we have to keep our physical distance to help prevent the virus from spreading, doesn't mean can't maintain and build relationships in other ways. "Social" media is a great way to stay connected with family, friends and teammates. You can even go "old school" and write a letter. You can use live video to reach out to people and even do collaborative projects, work outs and challenges.
